چکیده

We explore the dynamical restrictions on the structure of dark matter halos through a study of cosmological self-similar gravitational collapse solutions. A fluid approach to the collisionless dynamics of dark matter is developed and the resulting closed set of moment equations are solved numerically including the effect of halo velocity dispersions (both radial and tangential), for a range of spherically averaged initial density profiles. Our results highlight the importance of tangential velocity dispersions to obtain density profiles shallower than 1/r2 in the core regions, and for retaining a memory of the initial density profile, in self-similar collapse. For an isotropic core velocity dispersion only a partial memory of the initial density profile is retained. If tangential velocity dispersions in the core are constrained to be less than the radial dispersion, a cuspy core density profile shallower than 1/r cannot obtain, in self-similar collapse. Formation of Large Structures in the Acceleration Universe with a Hybrid Expansion Law

In the current paper, we have studied the effect of dark energy on for-mation where dark energy exists in the background. For this purpose, we used both WMAP9 and Planck data to study how the radius changes with redshift in these mod-els. We used different data sets to fix the cosmological parameters to obtain a solution for a spherical region under collapse. The mechanism of structure formation f...

A Model for the Density Distribution of Virialized Cdm Halos

An analytic collapse model for the formation and density distribution of virialized cold dark matter halos is proposed. Hierarchical structure formation is taken into account explicitly. Monte Carlo methods are used to generate samples of mass histories of virialized halos. The mean density distribution found from the collapse model is in good agreement with numerical results in the mass range ...

A Model for the Formation and Evolution of Cosmological Halos

Adaptive SPH and N-body simulations were carried out to study the collapse and evolution of dark matter halos that result from the gravitational instability and fragmentation of cosmological pancakes. Such halos resemble those formed by hierarchical clustering from realistic initial conditions in a CDM universe and, therefore, serve as a convenient testbed model for studying halo dynamics. Our ...

On the Origin of the Rotation Curves of Dark-Matter-Dominated Galaxies

N-body simulations of the Cold Dark Matter (CDM) model yield singular halo density profiles in apparent conflict with halo profiles of dark-matter-dominated galaxies derived from observed rotation curves. An analytical model we have derived elsewhere for the postcollapse equilibrium of cosmological halos reproduces many of the average properties of halos in CDM simulations to good accuracy, inc...

Structure of Dark Matter Halos From Hierarchical Clustering: II. Universality and Self-Similarity in Cluster-Sized Halos

We investigate the structure of the dark matter halo formed in three different cold dark matter scenarios. We performed N-body simulations of formation of 13 cluster-sized halos. In all runs, density cusps proportional to r developed at the center. This result was independent of the cosmological models we simulated. We could not reproduce the cusp shallower than r, which was obtained in some of...
